The Background of An Unlikely Suitor

Sometimes in life we simply need a break. This novella is a quick read.  It takes you away from everyday life and lets you escape and rejuvenate.
A high school reunion for many people is great time to see people they haven’t seen in years. It’s a chance to catch up with each other and see what your fellow students have done with their lives. There are so many we want to catch up with, but sometimes there are other people we’d rather not see.
As I wrote about Taryn, and how excited she was for the reunion, I started to think of my high school experience. I remembered a basketball player who bullied me, only once, but it really impacted my life. I realized how hard it would be for Taryn to attend a reunion if there was someone there she didn’t want to see.  That is how the character of Chad was created.  I decided to put Taryn and Chad in an uncomfortable position to see how this relationship would develop. I wanted this book to be happy and about forgiveness and fresh starts. 
Everyone deserves a second chance.
